Itinerary:

Situated Elk and Misty Ranges south of Highwood Pass, the trail climbs gradually from Hwy 40 up the southeast ridge. Work your way up the ridge to the summit while enjoying views on both sides of the ridge which are absolutely stunning and worth the effort.

Event Directions:

From the north: Park on the obvious grassy area on the east side of Hwy 40, 13 kms south of Highwood Pass. From the south: From Highwood Junction (the meeting of Hwys 541, 40 and 940) drive 25.2 kms northwest on Hwy. 40 and park in the grassy area on the east side of the highway.
