Itinerary:
This is not the regular Bow Valley Provincial Park, this one is on the south side of highway 1. A few of us did this trail back in May and I thought that it would be nice to revisit it to check out the fall colours. Daffern's K country trail guide volume 3 p167 gives a rough idea of what we will do. There are no major hills but lots of ups and downs along the way. We will venture across open areas and through forests, and some large moss covered rocks. We will also visit the Broken Bridges site where the old highway used to cross the Kananaskis River. Expect approx 4 hours on the trail.

Required Items to Bring:
Kananaskis conservation pass. Everything that you need for a full day on the trail in the fall.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
A hot drink for lunch

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Head west on highway 1 to exit 114A which is west of the highway 40 turnoff. Do not take the Seebe exit, instead take the other one right beside it for Rafter Six Ranch (now named Star 6 on Googlemaps)/Chief Camp Hector. Cross the bridge over the highway to the 3 way junction. Drive straight across to the parking lot there.
Carpool to Event Distance (round trip): 127Km
