Itinerary:

This trail is a pleasant walk through an old growth forest to a scenic lake surrounded by the towering north wall of Boom Mountain. Views of Quadra Spire and Bident Peak lie to the west. In wet years, like this one, mushrooms of all kinds can be rather abundant.

Required Items to Bring:
The usual day-trip gear plus 2 litres of water and sun protection. Lunch and snacks.

Travel west from Castle Junction on HWY#93 for 8km to the Boom Lake parking lot. Out-buildings are available.
