Itinerary:
Iceline is one of the premier hikes in the Canadian Rockies. We will start by climbing up the trail beside the Whiskey Jack hostel gaining 300m in 2km. The grade eases off as we head northwest on the Iceline trail below the slopes of the Vice President and the Emerald Glacier. At this point we can look across the valley and down on Takakkaw falls and see their source - the Daly glacier. After passing the Iceline summit we start our descent towards the Stanley Mitchell hut. From here we head east down the Little Yoho Valley trail to join the Yoho Valley trail to return to our vehicles. Expect 7 hours of hiking plus extra for breaks so an 8-9 hour day.
