Itinerary:
I have labelled this hike as exploratory because it's been a few years since I did this loop and it's always a bit confusing for the first little bit through the xc ski trail system. There are two high points along the way with views over the Sheep River valley to Windy Point Ridge, Bluerock Mtn and Gibraltar Mtn. We will then wander as far as we feel like through the Long Meadow towards High Noon hills before returning. On the way back we will pick up a couple of other trails for variety. Expect to be on trail for 4 1/2 - 5 hours approximately.

Required Items to Bring:
Kananaskis conservation pass. Everything you need for a full day on the trails.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Hiking poles. Extra water, electrolyte drinks.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Head west of Turner/Diamond Valley on highway 546. In approx 20km from the town turn left into the Sandy McNabb campground. Ignore the camping loops and drive down the hill to the day use area.
