Itinerary:

This hike is part of the multi day trip to Field. The hike starts along the shore of Emerald Lake then continues across the alluvial fan at the head of the lake before the hard work of the day starts - the approx 3.5km climb up the Yoho Pass trail. At the pass we will take the short trail to Yoho Lake to enjoy lunch before returning the same way back down to the lake. At the head of the lake we can either return on the same trail or continue around the other side of the lake back past the lodge to our vehicles - let's see how the mood takes us on the day. This will add on a couple of km and minimal extra elevation.
