Itinerary:

This is a truly scenic hike but I have rated it difficult due to its length; it's a full day's hike. The trail throughout is excellent covering open flat valley bottom, nice waterfall, a stream crossing, a treed section and reasonably sloped beautiful alpine meadows leading up to the top of the pass. There could be lots of flowers. The trailhead is the Elbow Lake parking lot a few kms down from the top of the Highwood Pass on the north side.

Required Items to Bring:
A nice day in the mountains can turn nasty very quickly, so be sure to pack appropriate clothing.
