Itinerary:
Prairie Mountain is definitely not one of my favourite hikes but I am interested to check out the improvements made to the trail. Join me as we huff and puff up to the top! Recent comments say that it is still as steep as it always was but there are now switchbacks in place at some points. We will hike out and back the same way. Expect 3 1/2 - 4 hours on trail.

Required Items to Bring:
Kananaskis conservation pass
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Hiking poles

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Drive west from Bragg Creek on highway 66 to the Elbow Falls parking lot before the winter gate. The trailhead has been moved so it makes more sense to park in the Elbow Falls parking lot and cross the highway to start. Park near the entrance/west end.
