Itinerary:

This beautiful but not well known hike is a replacement for sentinel Pass-Paradise Valley, where we could not get tickets on the Moraine Lake shuttle bus. It rises from Sherbrooke Lake through a series of three meadows. Some hikers stop and wait at the second meadow, which is large and has beautiful views. That reduced the distance by 3-4 km and the elevation by about 150 meters.

Turn right off the Trans-Canada Highway at Sherbrooke Lake parking lot on the right side of Highway 1 near the west end of Lake Wapta, just past the now close Great Divide Lodge.
