Itinerary:
Parking lot at end of Eagle Drive near Nordegg is called Coliseum Mountain staging area. Expected time for hike is 5 to 5.5 hours. We will do the out and back trail and not the loop to avoid the steep descent. The third week of June a storm knocked numerous trees down. Reports as of July 03 indicate hikers are still enjoying the trail albeit with some extra effort. This trail is a local favourite but is considered challenging.

Water and food for lunch and snack breaks. Bear spray

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Staging area is about 10 min. North of Nordegg. If driving from Nordegg, return to Hwy 11, turn left go past viewing platform , turn right onto Shunda Creek Rd. , past Tamarack Drive and turn right on Pine Martin Dr., continue a short distance to Eagle Dr. And turn left onto Eagle Dr. And proceed to end to staging area.
