Itinerary:

Jumpingpound summit by itself is a 6km round trip hike with and elevation gain of 326m - that is the first part of the hike. We will check out the 360 views from the summit before exploring the east ridge which goes all the way to Moose mountain. There are 4 'tops' to be explored along the 4km length of the east ridge with an approximate height gain of another 344m and a loss of 421m - lots of ripples along the way ;-) Hopefully the meadows along the ridge will be carpeted in wildflowers. Expect a long day on the trail - at least 5 1/2 hours.

Required Items to Bring:
Kananaskis pass. Everything that you need for a long day on the trail. More liquid that you think you will need.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Head west from Bragg Creek on highway 66 to the end of the paved road. The trailhead is approx 18km up the gravel Powderface Trail road. Alternatively head west on highway 1, take the Sibbald/highway 68 exit south, turn left onto the gravel Powderface Trail for approx 17km to the trailhead.
