THIS HIKE IS A PART OF THE DIAMOND VALLEY MULTI DAY SCHEDULE. IF YOU NOT SIGNED UP FOR THE DIAMOND VALLEY TRIP AND WISH TO PARTICIPATE ON THIS HIKE PLEASE LET ME KNOW. jamesbaillies@gmail.com Spring in the Whaleback is wildflower season and the hills are a flourish of colour. This hike involves an approximate 7 km round trip with three distinct elevation gains. The first is a moderate climb of 150 meters. We then drop down into a valley which we follow for a distance before climbing up to the top of a ridge (100 meters elevation gain). After lunch we descend back into a valley and then ascend another ridge (100 meters elevation gain) which we follow back down to the gravel road that takes us back to our cars. Their are great views of the Oldman River valley and the mountains throughout the day. PLEASE BE SURE TO INDICATE IF YOU INTEND TO CARPOOL OR MEET AT THE EVENT IF YOU SIGN UP FOR THIS HIKE.
