Itinerary:

Please don't register for this hike if you have been sick in the last 7 days. Having checked out Humpty's Hill and Jill's Hill in the past I'd like to see what the view at the top of Jack's Hill is like ;-) From there we will take the Mesa Traverse trail across the base of Mesa Butte before climbing the steep trail to the top. Back down to the junction we will then do the up and down on the Curley Connector trail before hiking the Curley Sands trail back to the vehicles. The forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, temps ranging from -7 to -2C.

K country pass. Microspikes and hiking poles

Head west on highway 549 from Millarville for approx 17km to the North Fork recreation area. We will park in the pullout just up the hill from there at the winter gate closure (beside the Gorge Creek trail road).
