Itinerary:
I would ask that anyone who signs up for this hike has at least been double vaccinated against Covid. This hike is primarily for those who signed up for the Larch Series of hikes but if you want to drive out for the day you can, however I will have to split the group so will be looking for a second coordinator. It's a 6.3km one way hike with ups and downs in the forest to Taylor Lake where the larches start to show themselves. then we have options - O'Brien Lake is another 2km one way (60km difference in elevation), Panorama Meadows is a short 1.3km up from the lake (approx 135m elevation gain). Once in the meadows where all the larches are it is possible to just wander as far as you feel like. It's a long day - last year the meadows hike took 7 hours total.

Required Items to Bring:
Park pass. Enough food and water for a 7 hour hike. Layers - it's getting chilly in the mountains.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Spikes - if we bring them we won't need them. Camera.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Head west on highway 1 towards Lake Louise. The Taylor Lake trailhead is approx 8km from the Castle Mountain junction on the left hand side of the highway.
