Itinerary:

I would ask that anyone who signs up for this hike has at least been double vaccinated against Covid. I'd like to get another big ridge hike in before the white stuff arrives. We have to ford the Elbow river at the start but hopefully it won't be too deep at this time of year. It's a steep climb up to the ridge - approx 550m in 2km - then a lovely ridge walk towards the south peak. We'll turn around at the 8km mark and return the same way. Expect to be on trail for around 7 hours.

Required Items to Bring:
Enough food and water for this length of hike. Layers - it's getting chilly in the mornings! Kananaskis Country pass.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Water shoes which we can stash at the base of the climb.

Head west on Highway 66. At the end of the pavement turn left towards the Little Elbow Recreation Area. Follow the signs to the trailhead parking at the end of the road.
