| Itinerary: | |||||||
| The Bear’s Hump This trail has been rebuilt following the fires. The trail head is at the parking area across from the Prince of Wales turn off. The way to the top includes a short steep climb up a rocky trail to an outcropping on Crandell Mountain. It is known as Bear Mountain by the Blackfoot Indigenous peoples, and the mountain looks like the outline of a grizzly bear from a distance. A great hike to do as a warm-up on arrival day, or a quick hike to do prior to departing on Sunday. It is approximately 3 kilometres in length with an elevation gain of 225 meters. | |||||||
