Itinerary:

This out and back hike takes you to the Carthew summit at a moderate pace. We start and finish at Cameron Lake. The trail switchbacks up steeply the first 3 km . Views of Cameron Lake and Forum Peak. Trail flattens somewhat as you approach Summit lake. You begin the climb to the Carthew summit barren ridge, 375 m over 3.6 km of switchbacks, to the shoulder of Mt. Carthew. We take a well deserved break at the summit(an opportunity for those who wish explore or just view the three Carthew Lakes)

Bear spray, water, sun screen, appropriate clothing, lunch.
