Itinerary:
The hike starts off on ski access roads before traversing the east side of Mt Haig and gaining elevation more steeply. Forest trail then leads to the lake. If some of the group are interested, Haig ridge is 1km further and 350m of elevation gain (D5) Ridge option starts up a rock staircase towards the col for a wonderful view. Return the same way or there is an option to make a loop from the ridge top for a 10km round trip.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Meet at trailhead at 9:15, ready to hike at 9:30. Trailhead from Pincher Creek drive west on h’way 507, turn left onto h’way 774 and follow the road all the way to the Castle Mtn resort. Park near the main building. Drive time 35 mins
