Itinerary:

We will meet at the Pocaterra Hut parking lot and drive 6.1 km in a convoy to the trailhead on the Smith-Dorion HW. We will SNOWSHOE directly up to Gypsum Ridge about 2.5 km one way. On the way down we will detour up the extension as far as we feel like it for a max of another 2.1 km up. Total distance should be between 5 and 8.3 km.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Be at the Pocaterra Hut Parking Lot in the Kananaskis by 9:30. Watch for my dark blue Ford F- 150 pickup truck. Leave together at 9:30 AM sharp and drive 6.1 km in a convoy to the trailhead on the Smith-Dorion highway. We will park by the side road and put on our snowshoes.
