The trail goes through the remains of the September 2020 forest fire to the old abandoned Fire Lookout on top of Black Rock Summit.

Required Items to Bring:
Poles, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, food, lots of water. MASKS for the carpool to the trailhead
Recommended Items to Bring:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From Cochrane take hwy 1A west to hwy 40 north (Forestry Trunk Road) Drive 24 kms & turn left onto Township Rd 270 which is about 50 metres past Richard Road. Here you drive through an open gate. There is an OHV sign to the right of this gate. Drive 16 kms down on a gravel road. The road is in better condition the the Spray Lakes Road or Gorge Creek.
