Itinerary:

This scenic hike combines several unofficial trails into a loop in the eastern section of the Highwood Valley. Hike up to Grass Pass. Make a detour to Boundary Pine on the ridge to the east and back. Hike up to the high point on the ridge to the west. Take this ridge north to Gunnery Pass. Descend Gunnery Creek back to the highway and your starting point.
