Itinerary:

Follow a forested uphill trail to Bourgeau Lake. From there it is another 2.5 km to Harvey Pass. Although there is no exposure, this part of the trail goes through scree and rock and is fairly steep. The panoramic view from Harvey Pass includes Sunshine Meadows, Healy Pass and Mt. Assiniboine. It is rated difficult primarily because of the distance. Also, the insects are out there, so be sure to bring insect repellent.

Drive the Trans-Canada Hwy 2.8 km west from the Sunshine Village turnoff to the Bourgeau parking lot.

In order to do this hike, you need to have a few longer, more strenuous hikes under your belt. You need to be in good condition.
