Itinerary:

The plan is to ascend Old Baldy using the southwest ridge. Starting at the Evan-Thomas parking lot we will hike about 2km to the junction at McDougall Creek. We leave the creek trail and go left up through forest to a talus slope. Crossing the talus slope brings us to the final ascent to the ridge. From here, it is a lovely stroll through forest before reaching the grassy summit. The plan is to return the same way to make the most of the fantastic views.
