The seasons are definitely changing but after a chilly -4C start we
had another beautiful fall hike in our backyard 😍
The well graded switchbacks make for easy hiking to the junction with
the trail to Cox Hill. Then it's an undulating trail all the way to
Jumpingpound Summit. Most of the trail was surprisingly dry although
we did encounter a few snowy sections which were manageable on the way
up. We did don our spikes for a steep section on the return trip
though.
Stats were 14.8km with a cumulative elevation gain of 863m which seems
crazy 😧. However the outward route was closer to 630m, the remainder
was the uphill bumps on the way back to the trailhead.
