Write Up:We couldn't have asked for a better day to check out the flower
meadows at Healy Pass - clear blue sky, sunshine with a bit of a
breeze which helped keep those hungry mozzies away at lunchtime. Red
and it's various shades was the colour of the day with Paintbrush by
the thousands everywhere once we came out of the forest. Lots of
yellow (still some glacier lilies) and blue (larkspur) added to the
colour fest.
The trail had a few muddy spots in the forest but otherwise it was in
great shape and it wasn't busy.
On our way back we stopped at the creek approx an hour from the
trailhead where a couple of us dipped our feet in the cold water which
felt so refreshing after a long day on the trail.
Stats were 19.6km with 915m of cumulative elevation.
