Write Up: We started off visiting the small wetland and saw ducks and a beaver
dam. Then proceeded west to access and walk along the north side of
the Elbow River. We discovered that we could go a long way and it was
very scenic. Quite dry with just a few muddy spots.
We then went to the south side of the river. It was wetter and not as
scenic as main trail was not at the water's edge.
This is good time to do this as spring run off has not started yet and
water level is low.
Stats for the main group was 9.4 km , 140 metres eg, and 4 hours
including lunch and lots of stops for pictures and exploring.
3 participants stayed out longer and did 11km.
