Write Up:We had a great hike today with 17 members exploring the East side of
Fish Creek Park and socializing with each other. This number is almost
as many as we had for last year's Spring hike at Bow Valley PP (19
attendees) - so close! Maybe next year we'll beat it!
The weather was a very pleasant 8 degrees and sunny to start. We
wandered along Fish Creek and past the ice caves, then headed north to
the pedestrian bridge over the Bow River. Then past Patience Pond and
down to Hull's Woods, where we stopped in a lovely area near the creek
for our lunch. After lunch we continued south along the river,
wandering (aimlessly?) through the bushes and then routed back at the
boat launch to Lake Sikome and finally back to the Ranche parking lot.
Our stats were 9.5 km and 136 m elevation according to AllTrails; 2
hrs 8 mins moving time and about 3.5 hours total.
Afterwards several of us went to Annie's for coffee and treats. A
great day, thanks everyone!
