Write Up:Yoho Overnight Summary 2025
Our overnight trip from August 27th through to August 31st offered a
variety of wonderful hiking options and experiences for participants.
In part this was due to the number of people who offered to post and
lead hikes. There was a full itinerary. Some hikes were long and
challenging, some were shorter half day hikes, some were moderate full
day hikes, and some were in Yoho while others were up the 93 HWY,
including Helen Lake, Parker’s Ridge and Wilcox. Thanks to everyone
who lead hikes!
Our final count of participants was 20 people. A few stayed for only
two or three nights, but the large majority stayed for all four
nights. A few people stayed in Lake Louise, a few people camped, some
stayed at the Truffle Pigs and many booked guest houses in Field.
Being close in proximity we were able to socialize on the trails and
during evening events, starting with Happy Hour the first evening,
hosted by Deb Kocay and Susan Allen.
Overall a good time hiking and socializing. Thanks everyone!
