Write Up:A couple of days earlier, a bad storm cell had wreaked havoc on
northeast Calgary and it must have helped push Elbow Lake to
overflowing. While this made Edworthy Falls look impressive, a fording
of the the Elbow just downstream looked considerably less appealing. On
to Plan B: a leisurely stroll to Tombstone campsite with comfortable
amenities for snacking etc. was followed by the trek up to the Tombstone
Lakes where we watched cutthroat trout lazing around and chatted to
various fisherfolk who were enjoying reeling some of them in. Piper Pass
and its flowers will have to wait, but this was a fine day out
nonetheless.
