Write Up:After a chilly start and some precipitation on the drive there it
turned out to be a lovely day for exploring the High Noon Hills. I
probably should add Exploratory to the event title as we managed to
miss a couple of junctions where trails on the map just didn't exist
on the ground. We also had to cross the same stream twice! Thanks to
my trail builders who moved a fallen log to make a very steady bridge.
Also thank you to everyone for just going with the flow and your help
with finding the trail.
Lots of spring wildflowers along the way and so many Shooting Stars!
Highlight of the day was a beautiful Dusky Grouse showing off it's
full plummage, we could hear it 'drumming' too.
Stats were just a wee bit over those posted at 11.9km with 470m of
cumulative elevation.
