Write Up:We had a great time checking out lots of new trails as we hiked around
the perimeter of the park including a few forays up and down some
hills. We met a very interesting gentleman and his dog Maggie at the
top of one of the hills. He was out checking the last of the summer
flowers and he talked about some of his mushroom explorations in the
West Bragg Creek area recently.
There was a lovely bench and rocks to sit on for lunch at the north
end of the park near the neighbourhood of McEwan Glen.
Although it was an overcast day it was the perfect temp for hiking
until after lunch when the wind suddenly changed direction and it got
a lot cooler. The smoke was coming in as we finished in the early
afternoon.
