Write Up:Morning hike that started at the namesakes trailhead. Trail is well marked and heads up
through the trees along many switchbacks on its way up the mountain. Many trees had been
knocked down during a storm the third week of June 2023, and they had all been cleared
prior to our visit. Someone had done a lot of chainsaw work! We came out at the top and
along some scree and beside a rock cliff. We decided not to do the path along the slanted
edge to get to the flatter section of ridge line. We back tracked a bit and made our way up to
near the secondary summit that shows on Alltrails. We had lunch and had beautiful scenery
toward Abraham Lake and the surrounding mountains. Overall a great hike with the view
mainly at the top.
