Write Up:Thank you Deb Kocay for taking over leading this hike when we could
not do it. The hollowing
is Deb’s write up.
Although the forecast was calling for showers and rain, and it was
raining during breakfast,
six of us set out at 10:10 am determined to make the hike. Tamarack
trail turned out to be
very interesting; a well defined and nicely graded trail, with variety
and worthwhile views. We
took the turnoff for the first view which was well worth the
additional hike. After enjoying the
view and having a break, we rejoined the main trail and made our way
to the summit.
Successfully reaching the summit, we were planning for a relaxed and
enjoyable lunch.
However, the darkening sky and rain cut our lunch break short.
Fortunately the rain was
short lived. Overall a great hike with good company. Thanks to all on
the hike!
A hike to definitely do again!
