Write Up:It was a cool cloudy start to the day but perfect for hiking.
The trail was drier than expected after the rain earlier in the week and
there was hardly any wind at the saddle where we enjoyed lunch. Many a
time we have been almost blown off the saddle so this was unusual. We
saw a few glimpses of blue sky and the sun made an appearance as we got
back to our vehicles!
We spotted our first Calypso orchid of the season as we started up the
main trail after the section through the campground.
It was a great ladies day on the trail!
