Write Up:It was a chillier start to the day than we expected but by the time we
got to the meadow it was warming up nicely. There were fabulous ice
crystals to behold as we crossed the meadow in the sun and carpets of
crystals as we started towards West Crystal Line on our return. Lunch
was in the sun beside the meadow either on logs or sitting on bare
patches of grass. A most enjoyable short hike with good buddies. Total
time was 3 hours including breaks (and photo stops) so this is an ideal
hike if you want something close to the city and are short on time.
