Write Up:The weather did not look very good on the drive out to the trailhead.
Low cloud and a light mist shrouded the mountains on the drive. But as
we rounded a corner on the Powderface road blue skies greated us to the
west. At Sonya's suggestion we made a small change to our hiking
itinerary and decided to leave a car about 4 km down the road so that we
could hike the ridge to west and do a section of the trail that most of
us hadn't down before. We could then drive back to get the other
vehicles when the hike was finished. As we ate our lunch at the top we
took in the marvelous views and enjoyed eachother's company. It was
another great day in the mountains.
