Write Up:What a glorious day for a hike in the Foothills west of Turner Valley!
T shirts and shorts (in my case) right from the trailhead.
So many varieties of flowers along the way especially on Carry Ridge.
We did 11.5km with 362m of cumulative elevation gain but this is a
hike that could be shortened and have lesser elevation if desired.
This is also a great shoulder season hike - get in there before the
cattle are let loose! It can also get very hot in the valley between
the ridges in the summer.
We were out 5 hours today as we took our time and took lots of flower
photos along the way. Banana loaf was enjoyed on our return to the
trailhead.
