Write Up:This is a beautiful and easy hike along the Akimina Parkway and well
deserving of its 4.5 star rating on All trails. Its mostly a forest
walk but because of the fire in 2017 its more open. The trees are all
white, all black or a combination of black and white. We explored
around the lake as far as the trail went which was about 1/2 way
around. We saw a bunch of trees in a little bay on the lake which had
been carried down by an avalanche. Looking up on the short, not very
steep slope its a reminder of how you need to be careful in the
winter.
