Write Up:Another beautiful day in the Rockies and 14 hikers enjoyed the
amazing views and hike to Helen lake and the ridge between Helen
lake and Katherine lake.
Our group later split in two and Karen's group while hiking back
spotted about 12 Ptarmigan or grouse on the return trail.
Susan's group went exploring - descending off the ridge to check
out Katherine lake and then a smaller lake further away which we
named 'Lake Andrea' ;-) From there it was a short hop, skip and
jump to Dolomite Pass where we enjoyed our second lunch. We saw
many marmots between the ridge and Katherine lake. Amazing varied
scenery all day!
