Write Up:This was the first visit to Beauvais Lake Prov. Park for most of us. We
had a delightful stroll through a forest up to Piney Point. On the way
and at the Point we had wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and
the lake. After reaching the Point, we hiked down to the lake and
returned to the parking lot via the South Shore trail. There were few
poeple in the area. This hike was an excellent choice for a short day.
Of note there was no signage to the parking lot. For future reference,
after entering the park gates, turn right to the group camping area.
This is where the Beaver Creek Day Use Area parking lot is located.
