Perfect weather.
Two groups went on the loop in opposite directions in order to conform to the Covid rules, Andrew Barrett leading the counter- clockwise eight, and Susan Chalier leading the clockwise eight. Susan's group won.
No problems. One of the people in Susan's group was challenged by a very grousy grouse. But hey, it's just an angry chicken! Otherwise, no wildlife.
There are two choices on the Baldy side of the loop. (1) a boring logging road, (2) an interpretive trail. We both took the better option number (2). There has been logging activity recently, and the road is recently graded.
We cooled our toeseys in the creek by the parking lot after returning.
