Mon, Jun 7 2021 - Nose Hill north loop city walk - repeat (View Original Event Details)
|
The first half hour was dry and cool. Good hiking weather. Then it started to drizzle, and started to get windy. After a while we had to turn into the wind (30 km/h) with 8C temperature and steadier rain. So we cut the last loop off of the hike, but still within the official hike distance. Distance about 5.5 or 6 km, time about 1:45 (8:55am-10:40am). It stopped raining about a half hour after we returned. Other than cold hands, there was no real difficulty, but not the best day for a walk in the park. Other than a lack of gloves, we were all dressed appropriately. No wild animals spotted.
I had checked radar before leaving, and I saw the possibility if rain. I had checked that there was no lightning in the area.
