Write Up:
We enjoyed lunch overlooking the Frank Slide from April 30, 1903. Such an impressive view. Following lunch we hiked the interpretative trail circuit and Deb read the pertinent historical facts at each stopping point. What a devastating event the slide was. We found out the slide in some places was over 150 metres feet deep. Huge boulders littered the slopes. We then proceeded to hike the north rim which included good views of Turtle Mountain and also walked through forested areas on the way to Bellevue and back. It was a great introduction to the Crowsnest Pass! Saw only one other person on the Rim Trail.
