Write Up:Seven hikers headed up.to the trailhead around 9 am. There were three
destinations - lower Rowe lake, meadows and upper Rowe lake.
The group split into two groups and headed up the trail. Although not
forecasted, we experienced a bit of rain. It was good that we were in
the forested area so did not get that wet. The rain passed quickly
and we continued on the trail. The flowers were wonderful (photos to
follow) and the conversations interesting. One group headed directly
to upper Rowe lake and the other group to the meadow. Both groups met
again at lower Rowe lake and saw a very large marmot. We saw many
chipmunks, ground squirrels, birds, marmot, pica although no bear. We
also came across other hikers.
The weather was good, the views were good and the lakes very relaxing.
