Write Up:Seven of us hiked up Mount Burke. Most of us had hiked this mountain before and enjoyed the
opportunity to do it again. The weather was beautiful, with a bit of clouding over when we
started our descent, but no rain--until we were driving back between Longview and Diamond
Valley. Though the never-ending uphill, relentless switchbacks, scree and a couple of narrow
ridges tested our tolerance, we all made it to the top successfully. As usual, we were rewarded
with amazing 360 views.
