Write Up:Turned out to be a beautiful day with good weather., alternating sun and cloud and a light
breeze on the ridge. The wild flowers were at their peak and were a highlight of the hike
along with the great views from the pass and the ridge between the Grass Pass trail and the
Gunnery Creek trail. We were the only ones on the trail all day; we had the whole area all to
ourselves. Walking on the ridge among the flowers reminded us of the Sounds of Music so I
played the theme song on my iPhone.
