Write Up:Dawson-Pitamakan loop was more than impressive. No problem taking the boat from Two
Medicine Lake to the boat dock on the other side. It was a steady climb up Dawson Pass where
we were greeted with gale force winds. As we turned north along the Continental Divide the
wind gusts subsided to make for a spectacular hike with 360 degree views. We lunched just
above Pitamakan Pass to enjoy the views of Oldman Lake and Raising Wolf to the east then
followed the valley out through forests of fir and tall grasses and finally (the last 4km were the
longest) we reached Two Medicine Campground. An amazing hike (26km) with a fantastic group
of hikers!
