Write Up:What an inspiring day in the mountains. We parked at the gate and walked up the road to the
Foran Grade Ridge trailhead. Great walking on the road but much more snow on the ridge than
anticipated. Knee deep in many places so it was slow going. Turned north onto Windy Point trail
and the snow continued to be knee deep to the junction with Death Valley. Decided to hike
along Death Valley as the trail was somewhat packed down and easier hiking. No one had been
on the trail to Pine Ridge. Followed Death Valley trail out for a distance of 15km. Another great
day in the mountains with a fantastic group of hikers.
