Write Up:A small, but determined group of early risers discovered that IQAir was correct in their
prediction that today's air quality would be good. There was a little bit of smoke as we drove to
the trailhead in the morning, but before noon a fresh breeze had left us with a clear blue sky
dotted with fluffy clouds and terrific long-distance views from Harvey Pass and for all of the
return journey. We might have been able to get away with an 8:30 start, but probably not much
later. Apart from seeing some dragonflies, and butterflies we were not plagued by insects. The
best part of the day was our early lunch in Harvey Pass, drinking in the incredible views and
enjoying an exciting addition to the legend of Glynn recounted by his son, Alex. We also had the
good fortune to enjoy Elli's company. The trip was just over 7 hours including a leisurely lunch
and second breakfast at Lake Bourgeau.
