Write Up:A little cool at the start but warm and sunny later in the morning.
Hiked 9.4 km and 269 meters vertical, doing the loop counterclockwise so
we had the sun to warm us at the start. Some icy patches on the trail.
Saw a movie set village down in the valley. Watched a large female mule
deer lying in the snow near the trail and also saw a large grouse. Ate
lunch on a sunny slope off the Iron Springs trail with lots of good
sized logs to sit on. What a great day with a great bunch of hardy
hikers.
